Full Job Description

We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate people to join our team to help us deliver a quality community café experience for those living and visiting the Woodbridge area.

The Pavilion Café is run as a social enterprise by regional charity Access Community Trust. Situated on Kingston field the café serves quality barista coffee, cake and light bites, as well as cold drinks and ice cream.

As part of the café team you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service as well as;

  • Serving and taking orders at the till

  • Delivering tasty and mouth-watering food and drinks

  • Helping ensure the café looks great and is a clean and safe place

  • Preparing hot and cold food

    A genuine desire to want to serve people and deliver a great experience to our customers (E)

  • Strong team player, yet capable of working independently as required (E)

  • Excellent customer service skills (E)

  • To be able to multi-task and remain calm under pressure (E)

  • Prior experience as a Barista / Waiting Staff in a Cafe / Coffee House / Restaurant environment (D)

  • Food preparation / displaying food ready for sale (D)

  • Ability to operate IT/Till based service equipment for orders, till usage, card payments (D)

  • Experience in dealing with guest concerns and problem solving (D)

  • Cash handling (D)


  • Other (Essential/Desirable)
  • Willingness to work weekends and bank holidays as required (E)

  • Willingness to work flexible hours to account for seasonal opening hours (E)
