CAD Designer and Admin Assistant

We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer / Product Designer to join our dynamic team at Yoke Vans. This role is perfect for a proactive individual who excels in both design and customer interaction. The successful candidate will not only assist in creating innovative designs and maintaining our product catalogue but will also handle customer inquiries, providing knowledgeable support with a technical edge. • Utilize CAD software to create and revise precision drawings and technical illustrations.


• Assist in the design and engineering of new products, ensuring they meet quality and functionality standards.


• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of existing product designs.


Customer Service and Support:

• Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and other messaging platforms, providing technical advice and support.


• Help customers understand our products better, guiding them in selecting products that meet their needs.


• Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint, determining the cause of the problem, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem, expediting correction or adjustment, and following up to ensure resolution.


Catalogue and Database Management:

• Maintain and update product catalogue and design files regularly.


• Ensure all product information is accurate and up-to-date, reflecting any changes or enhancements.


Administrative Duties:

• Assist in setting up daily design workflows and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.


• Perform administrative tasks related to design projects, including scheduling, documentation, and reporting.
  
  Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.


• Experience with furniture or panel/sheet material manufacture/design.


• Proficient in CAD software (Fusion or similar).


• Strong understanding of design principles, engineering, and manufacturing processes.


• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


• Ability to handle customer inquiries and resolve issues with patience and empathy.


• Strong organizational and time-management skills; capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.


• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• This is a primarily in-office role with some flexibility. We are based just outside of London but with no direct transport links. Please ensure you have checked your commute to WD6 5PH and can ensure that you can commute or relocate before applying.
