Full Job Description

We're looking Buying Manager to join our Accessorize Buying department on a 12-month fixed term contract. Reporting to the Buying Director, the Buying Manager is responsible for supporting in the successful delivery of the Brand strategy. Ensuring balanced, commercially viable and cohesive ranges are delivered throughout all channels of the business. Essential to this role is reacting, alongside the teams, to markettrends and changes in demand. Supporting the development of the wider Buying team through effective people and talent management as well as leading effective partnerships with all functions of the wider business including but not limited to; Design, Merchandising, Concessions, Web and International.

What will you do as a Buying Manager?

  • Collaborate with the Buying Director and Senior Leadership team to execute a creative and commercial strategy aligned with customer needs and optimised to achieve profit and sales targets ·

  • Assist in coaching and curation of product ranges across various categories to ensure that trade opportunities are maximised and areas of growth or decline are identified · Conduct ad hoc project management roles and reviews to establish risks and opportunities ie Travel, Piercing, New store concepts ·

  • Act as a cross functional leader across product departments and the wider business to ensure in season trading is potentialized. This will include VM, Web and Retail feedback

  • Support the teams with the development of the sourcing and supplier strategy to ensure margin KPI's are achieved

  • Support with the implementation of the critical path across the Buying and Design function to ensure deadlines are adhered to and stock is delivered on time

  • Deputise in the absence of the Buying Director

  • Work cross functionally with the Branch Merchandiser, Assistant Channel Merchandiser and product teams to deliver growth within the concessions business

  • Build strong relationships with the concession partners through product showcase meetings and communicating through regular calls

  • Ensure Trade opportunities are maximised across departments reviewing product, navigation and responding to feedback

  • Scope potential for new business opportunities People and Talent Management

  • Lead Buyers meeting and ensure department and company information is communicated effectively to wider team

  • Coach and develop team members through regular 1-2-1's · Manage recruitment process and key liaison with HR business partner

  • Identify and manage team training needs, Away Days and Assessment days Health and Safety

  • Ensure a safe working environment by complying with Health and Safety Guidelines and take action to deal with any issues Other

  • Support Brand for all communication channels i.e. International Product Surgeries, Managers Day, Campaign etc

  • Work with the Ethical Trade Manager to deliver the Brands sustainability goals · Support with the management of budgets and expenses for department as well as China and India offices via CODA

  • Attend monthly meetings with India partners to cultivate relationship and ensure best practice

    Strategic visionary with a keen product insight and ability to

  • demonstrate awareness of competitors and external trends

  • Effective and clear communicator across all levels, skilled at rallying

  • teams to achieve company KPI's

  • Used to working with a global supply base and building strong

  • relationships with Design, Merchandising and Technical functions in

  • order to develop ranges that reflect our brand strategy

  • Experience of managing a large team including Buyer/JB levels, who

  • can inspire and deliver beyond expectations

  • Self motivated and approachable with the ability to be adaptable to change
