Business Systems Analyst

To ensure that we continue to provide our clients with the excellent and safety conscious service we are known for, we are currently recruiting for a Business System Analyst to be based at our Widnes Site on a permanent basis.

As a Business System Analyst, you will assist in the delivery & improvements of system projects along with adapting continuous improvement and data analysis in line with business objective and requirements, & provide ongoing support for new and existing applications such as Transport Management System, Telematics and In cab technology.

As such, it is highly desirable that you have experience working in a transport, logistics or haulage environment.

You will be responsible for:

• Point of contact for any issues relating to business systems such as TMS or Telematics and manage issue from start to finish escalating or reporting to 3rd party suppliers when necessary.


• Ensure issues are resolved in timely manner to ensure best service possible to customers (both internal and external).


• Manage major incidents with suppliers ensuring constant communication with the required business users.


• Maintenance and creation of system masterfiles where applicable e.g. products with ADR specs, drivers, etc.


• Produce daily/weekly business reports.


• Supporting existing, established Excel reports.


• Be responsible for testing and releasing bug fixes, system updates and new developments into the live environment following Change Management processes.


• Actively looking to improve business systems and processes to aid end users daily roles.


• Documenting and recording progress of all system requests and potential improvements.


• Supporting and leading business systems projects., Using or supporting TMS systems


• Using or supporting Telematics systems


• Writing or using Reporting software such as PowerBI


• Using Ticketing systems or working to SLA/OLAs


• UAT/Regression testing
  
  Transport or Logistics businesses, Data Analysis


• Competent with Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications


• Experience with SQL would be beneficial but not essential


• Good level of numeracy and literacy


• Ability to communicate with people of all levels


• High levels of flexibility, adaptability, commitment and motivation


• Able to use own initiative and be proactive as well as a team player


• Conscientious with high attention to detail
