Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Response Engineer to join a high performing team supporting Virgin Media Business customers.

The Business Response Engineer is resonsible for delivering technical support and incident management to customers. The role is responsible for completing technical diagnostics and troubleshooting, ensuring SLA's are met and delivering a high quality service to customers.

  • Experienced with networking technologies such as Cisco, Nokia or Transmode

  • Knowledge of general internetworking, TCP/IP principles & DNS

  • Network fault diagnostic and troubleshooting skills


  • The other stuff we are looking for
  • Breadth of experience covering TCP/IP, Ethernet LAN, ISDN WAN, PPP, routers, Cisco Access Path, Virtual Access router configuration, Access Lists, LAN and Wireless technologies

  • Protocol knowledge, SMTP, POP3, IMAP4, MIME, HTTP, HTTPS, WCCP, ICP, DNS, FTP and SSH

  • Experienced working in ITIL environments. ITIL V3 would be an advantage

  • Customer service experience, a can-do attitude and passionate about increasing customer satisfaction

  • Experience with SD-Wan would be advantageous
