Full Job Description

As Business Report Developer Developer you will enhance, and maintain YHA's business intelligence reporting; deliver accurate, up to date information in a timely manner and assist with the development and support of the wider business systems and integrations.,

  • Develop and maintain high quality, easy to understand reports, dashboards and data outputs which consolidate data from YHA's data warehouse and business systems.

  • Assist with the development of business intelligence solutions which automatically transform and simplify source system data to enable high-performance querying.

  • Ensure a high level of quality control is consistently applied to all data outputs, and appropriate documentation is produced and maintained. You'll test, verify, and demonstrate that YHA's data is accurate and up to date.

  • Work with system owners to ensure that systems and the data within them are compliant with relevant regulations and meet audit requirements.

    We value lived experience just as much as previous skills and knowledge. We offer a robust induction, ongoing training, and further development, however, some of our roles will have further skills requirements. For the role of Business Report Developer, we are looking for the following:

  • Experience developing reporting solutions in SQL Reporting Services and Power BI.

  • Excellent understanding of SQL is essential.

  • Knowledge and understanding of Business Intelligence principles and database design.

  • Experience with Business Objects and/or QlikView would be advantageous.

  • Proven experience of managing data quality, alongside a good working knowledge of data protection principles.

  • Experience of building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Self-motivated and highly organised, with the ability to work to tight deadlines with minimal supervision.

  • Clear and confident communicator with the ability to create and deliver concise and engaging communications for a non-technical audience.

    This role requires flexibility to attend National Office in Matlock DE4 3YH. We do offer this role as hybrid however attendance required in the office is not set.
