Full Job Description

SURE Solutions is a rapidly growing Engineering organisation with a multi-award winning apprentice program and, since starting business seven years ago, is now a team of 50 with ongoing growth. We are looking for a motivated apprentice to support the next stages of our expansion.

Working from our office in Birkenhead (CH41 9HT), we're looking to recruit a driven and ambitious individual with excellent communication skills and a desire to grow with a business which has doubled its growth year on year since inception and works closely with some of the largest national and global companies and organisations.

Working as part of the Business Operations team you will be required to undertake all duties and other tasks required to ensure the smooth running of SURE Solutions. This may cover duties in Finance, Accounts, Digital Marketing, Sales, Service Coordination, Purchasing and Parts Management, Operations Management.

This apprenticeship will be designed to cover a generalist start in Business Operations at Level 3 to give a broad foundation, then progressing on to a Level 4. The specific Level 4 is based on mutual benefit in that it fits the apprentice interests and has a business need. Existing apprentices have progressed into Procurement, Sustainability and Finance pathways as an example of which direction the apprenticeship could head.

This will be a 4 to 5 year apprenticeship with significant individual development on offer.

Key tasks:

· Liaise with colleagues, customers, suppliers, accounts.

· Conduct competitor analysis, presenting findings and recommendations.

· Support sustainability initiatives and goals of the business.

· Help maintain and update operational reports and performance metrics.

· Conduct data analysis to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making.

· Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

· Interfacing with software system

· Fleet management and cost analysis.

· Processing and logging invoices into accounting tool (Sage)

· Provide general support to the Business and Management Team

· Be part of the apprentice team (currently 11), share ideas, support and challenge each other.

· Generate ideas to contribute towards the continuous improvement of the team

· Providing assistance with all ad hoc administrative tasks where required to support the team/department and /or Management Team

· Take part in industry wide initiatives and applicable programs.

· Support cyber security compliance and company accreditations.

· Meeting and greeting visitors.

· Support Scheduling Planned Maintenances

· Respond to telephone, email & online enquiries.

· Assist with any other duties/duties of other colleagues as required during busy periods and/or staff absences.

Some employment experience preferred but not essential. More important is personality and the desire to work for a small but rapidly growing team.

Starting annual salary £12,870 with discretionary annual bonuses dependent on company and individual performance.
