Full Job Description

This post is to build membership and loan business, working on a portfolio of projects with our
Deputy CEO including frontline work across Kent & Medway. You are a champion for Wave
Community Bank and can establish and build great relationships with our stakeholders. You have
the determination to reach as many people as possible with WCB's products and services.

Purpose of post
You will work to targets for growth of membership, savings and lending through Workplace Savings
Schemes and our wider community. You will develop partnerships with agencies and charities for
membership growth, lending growth and grant fulfilment. Delivering excellent customer service at
all times via all channels (email, online, phone & face to face) whilst adhering to
regulatory/legislation requirements such as UK GDPR, treating customers fairly & anti-money
laundering.,

  • Work closely with our Employer Partners to ensure promotion of our Workplace Savings

  • Scheme to their staff and provide site visits for member support, on-boarding and account
    management
  • Sign-up new Employer Partners to offer our Workplace Savings Scheme, organise and

  • manage successful launches of the scheme to their staff and manage these relationships
    on-going
  • Undertake any business development activities and proactively seek new business

  • opportunities, working to meet the lending and membership targets
  • Seek partnership opportunities with agencies and charities in the community and arranging

  • visits in the community
  • Represent WCB at both business and community wide forums, undertaking formal

  • presentation or speaker opportunities
  • Take the lead on any local community initiatives to secure increased membership.

  • Distribution of marketing materials as required, using a variety of forums and channels, to

  • support the business development objectives.
  • Work with the marketing team in WCB to ensure any required marketing materials are

  • produced and relevant social media posts are actioned.
  • Provide excellent customer service, assisting new and existing members as required.

  • Support the member services team when needed

  • The post holder will undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required and will be

  • expected to work effectively with others in order to make a positive contribution to the work
    of the organisation.
  • The post holder will be expected to keep under review his/her own training needs and

  • attend training or other developmental activities from time to time as appropriate.

    Requirement Essential Desirable
    5 GCSE's including English and Mathematics, A-level or degree educated
    Education relevant subjects, or equivalent


    2 years' experience in sales Experience of money
    Work Experience Experience of building and utilising networks management and advice
    Experience of marketing & sales
    promotion work


    Excellent communication skills including building Understanding issues of the
    Knowledge & skills relationships sector.
    Literacy to the level to be able to deal with Understanding of social policies
    correspondence effectively & efficiently. and issues relating to Financial
    Inclusion and able to
    Ability to work to timed targets. communicate them
    Competent in the use of computer software Ability to learn quickly
    packages including Microsoft Word, Excel,
    Powerpoint & Outlook.

    Ability to work to deadlines and manage own
    workload.

    Accuracy and ability to check your own work.

    Disposition/Attitude Excellent communication skills for working with
    individuals and groups.

    Job hours and term: 37 hours per week, 12-month fixed term contract initially
    Salary: £28,000 Opportunity to earn more based on performance.
