As a Business Development Manager for Slerp, you will lead negotiations with potential restaurant partners. You will collaborate with marketing, operations and finance to determine pitch strategies and run deals to deliver on our GMV and product adoption goals. You exhibit strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, and are able to participate in business-level and revenue-focused conversations with C-level executives. Based in our London office, you will report into our Chief Commercial Officer.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will:

  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities

  • Lead negotiations and new partnerships that have a significant impact on Slerp's bottom line

  • Develop and manage a pipeline of opportunities, and accurately forecast both revenue growth and product adoption

  • Reach and exceed individual quota while contributing to overall team and business goals

  • Exhibit executive presence and confidence in representing Slerp to C-suite executives

  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams (finance, activations, technical teams, account management) to ensure successful execution of all aspects of the sales process.

  • Serve as an industry thought leader in restaurant D2C ordering in order to drive partner success leveraging Slerp's ongoing product and technology developments; continuously stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitors' activities

You're Impact Motivated -- You have a natural desire to improve the overall business and are a doer

  • You're Process Oriented - You're structured in your sales approach and good at managing your time in order to maximise your impact

  • You're a Relationship Builder - You can influence and motivate people at all levels across a variety of job functions. You also have strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

  • You're Strategic -- You love to find the win-win to grow the business with our partners and internal teams. You think deeply about the decisions you make, and can articulate the "why" effectively

  • You're Resourceful -- You are happy juggling many priorities concurrently and being creative with solutions to move fast

  • Requirements
  • You have 3-6 years of successful B2B sales and/or business development experience (ideally in selling delivery or online ordering services to restaurants) with a proven track record of achieving or exceeding set targets

  • You have experience working with commercial agreements, including structuring and negotiating agreements outside of standard sales contracts and terms of service

  • You have experience with C-level negotiations and demonstrate an ability to not only think strategically, but also execute effectively to meet business objectives

  • You're comfortable in an environment with a fast pace and several moving parts

  • You're familiar with CRM pipeline tools (i.e. Hubspot) to manage your sales pipeline

Our Business Development team is a group of experienced and dedicated professionals who are passionate about driving growth for Slerp and for our restaurant partners. We work closely with our marketing and operations teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities and negotiate the commercial partnership terms with restaurant partners. Our team is results-oriented and focused on driving both profits and product adoption, while providing exceptional service to our clients. We value innovation and strategic thinking, and naturally gravitate towards using data and insights to build consensus and influence client decisions.
