Full Job Description

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for seeking new opportunities with existing & new clients, and managing these opportunities through to closure. Your role will include focusing on assigned accounts, understanding their needs, identifying new opportunities, and coordinating with internal teams to deliver solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, sales acumen, and a very proactive & creative approach to account management.

Area Management

  • Achieve growth targets

  • Lead decisions and drive activity within silo, leading all business growth efforts & executing F2F and phone calls.

  • Oversee customer growth & retention, delegating administration of accounts but ensuring customers are kept on target.

  • Identifying new opportunities & projects within existing client portfolio- (new product lines & increasing volume of purchases). By understanding clients' business objectives, & challenges, to effectively position our products/services

  • Seek out & build a range of relationships with key decision makers within each opportunity, and meet face to face, to pitch & close.

  • Prepare and deliver proposals, & sales pitches to clients to secure new business opportunities.

  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to maximize profitability, while ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of client needs.


  • Pipeline Management
  • All opportunities are correctly placed in pipeline and moved through effectively.

  • All opportunities are qualified in-line with strategic focus market and size.


  • Strategic Opportunities
  • Carry out weekly pipeline drill down into 3 highest value opportunities, creating actions and following them through.

  • Seek out key decisionmakers and build a range of relationships within each key opportunity.

  • Meet key decisionmakers face to face to pitch, negotiate and close opportunities effectively.


  • CRM & Support
  • All areas of CRM updated according to process, with every meaningful activity and task logged by end of same day.

  • Consistent communication with team members in silo.

  • Provide regular reports and updates to management on account performance, sales forecasts, and strategic initiatives.

    Extreme hunger is required to succeed - this isn't promised to be an easy job.

  • Ability to overcome barriers & obstacles.

  • Creative in your sales approach & willing to learn & try new ideas.

  • Project sales experience

  • Always be learning.

  • Key strength required is ability to close sales

  • Proven experience in business development and account management, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.

  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills, with a focus on creating win-win solutions for clients and the company.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools for managing accounts and tracking sales activities.

  • This role will require travel to visit clients or attend industry events.

  • Hours - 8.00AM - 5pm, with 30 mins lunch.

    On top of this we offer:

    · 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
