Full Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth through identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, and developing strategic partnerships.
Profile
The role-holder will be expected to have specialised expertise of all aspects including: pitching, marketing campaigns, leadership and key account management, working closely with the Managing Partner, Partners, CRM Manager and Marketing Manager. They will be expected to respond to the specific strategic challenges and opportunities for the firm.
The Responsibilities:
- Develop a focused marketing and business development strategy targeting both existing and potential clients and identify suitable opportunities and potential referrals to grow our client base.
- Thoroughly research and understand the needs and structures of prospective clients to be targeted.
- Plan, execute and finalise projects through to their successful delivery, in line with the agreed schedule, quality and budget.
- Represent the firm and manage associated activities effectively.
- Create strong credentials, pitches, and advising partners on strategy in relation to bids and tenders.
- Identifying other opportunities to win work for the firm, ensuring that opportunities are exploited and managed.
- Administer the creation of sector-specific content, campaigns, events and other profile-raising activities.
- Organise and attend marketing events, recording their take up and success rate.
- Work with the Marketing Manager to update web pages and social media.
- Plan, prepare and monitor annual budgets.
- In the fullness of time, pick up third party interaction with marketing service providers from the Marketing Manager.
Previous experience working in legal / professional services firms. - Proven track record of achieving targets.
- Strong understanding on how to develop effective strategies.
- Experience of working with senior managers to understand objectives and needs and to negotiate consensus.
- Able to make use of digital tools to reach targeted and wider audiences.
- Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication
