Full Job Description

To play a pivotal role in the growth of the Power Plant Training Ltd (PPTL) customer base and income generation to support business strategy. Utilising various techniques to support in the continued development of the customer demand pipeline from SME's and Large PLC's, seeking innovative ways to maximise opportunities to remain competitive and create new prospects. The role will have responsibility for promotion and selling of the PPTL public of courses. The position will also be responsible for the innovation of internal customer experience and identify, recommend, the use of other learning technologies and methodologies for delivery,

  • Identifying and developing new business & improvement opportunities.

  • Attending and representing PPTL at conferences, meetings, and industry events

  • Drive increased course utilisation of existing customer base via phone and marketing.

  • First line contact for customer enquiries via calls and emails to maximise sales opportunities.

  • Ownership of Enquiries mailbox

  • Support Social Media Marketing and Website promotion and day to day updates when required.

  • Produce and Provide Ml data.

  • Conduct research to keep up to date with industry and competitor environment.

  • Monitor customer experience to identify opportunities and action improvements.

  • Seek to create new and different ways of delivering the PPTL's portfolio of services.

  • Manage relationship and process with PPTL facilities.

  • Identify and decide on stakeholders for targeted marketing activities.

  • Make informed decisions regarding prioritisation of events and stakeholders to target.

  • Negotiate group discounts within the pricing structure.

  • Identify and act on opportunities for adding additional events to increase revenue.

  • Support BDM with daily tasks.

  • Complete administration tasks i.e.,


  • Facts and Figures:
  • Facilitate the delivery of small projects up to the value of £10k

  • Direct marketing activity income generation (yearly) £100k

    Hold a Sales or Marketing qualification or similar (if not expected to work towards)

  • Organised approach to meet tight deadlines

  • IT literate with high proficiency of Microsoft Office packages and social media

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with a wide range of customers.

  • Committed to delivering high standards to meet customer requirements.

  • Ability to recommend and work within business policy, protocols, and guidelines.

  • Ability to think creatively and recommend new ideas to drive business improvement.

  • Good analytical, problem solving, and report writing skills with close attention to detail.

  • Self-motivated as an individual through your own drive, energy, and commitment

  • Commercial awareness

  • Must have a full EU/UK driving licence.

  • Influencing and negotiation skills
