Full Job Description

An opportunity has become available for a Business Assurance Officer to join the Security, Compliance and Assurance Team, working within Counter Terrorism Police South East (CTPSE).

We are looking for candidates who have excellent attention to detail, who are able to verify correct activities that have been completed according to policies and procedures, and are able to professionally highlight where this is not the case. Candidates should also have good customer service skills, have the ability to work within a team and are competent using Microsoft Software.

As a Business Assurance Officer you will be responsible for testing the risk, efficiency, effectiveness and compliance of CT policies, procedures, systems and protocols in order to provide independent/objective assurance to the Head of CTP SE and the CT Network National Headquarters. You will also assist in verifying and facilitating necessary access to secure systems to support regional operational business needs, working closely with nationally led departments.

Please note that this role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you may be required to travel for business purposes mainly across the south east region and occasionally throughout the UK. We also ask that the individual be flexible with working hours when required. Due to the requirement to work flexibly, unsocial hours and personal safety for lone working; public transport may not be available or suitable at these times. For this reason a full UK driving licence is considered essential
