Full Job Description

We're looking for an Business Analyst with expertise in insurance and has worked on complex policy admin system migration specialists.,

  • Identify where the key priorities are and focus on the short-term priorities but ensure that a plan in place for the longer-term items that will work up the backlog.

  • Break down the features, ensuring the tickets are written at the right level of detail and scope, signed off and shared with the business and platform teams in line with delivery plans.

  • Support the IT teams in their story breakdown, ensuring the right outcomes are met and understanding interdependencies.

  • Support PMs and SM ensuring we have a clear view of the delivery plans and where there are dependencies between multiple teams.

  • Support team in planning & allocating tickets out among BA team for completion and tracking progress to plan.

  • Good knowledge of IT platforms, able to identify the key stakeholders within these teams and engage with them to support the end-to-end delivery plans.

    Previous experience of Life Insurance would be advantageous.

  • Previous experience in PAS migrations i.e. moving data and policies from legacy systems to other/new systems - include data structures, reporting changes, etc.- mandatory.

  • Lead the project from a business analysis perspective, acting as the single point of contact.

  • Excellent business analysis skills i.e. requirements, scope capture etc.

  • Understanding of insurance processes, ways of working, value chain.

  • Excellent written and oral communication.

  • Facilitation skills and able to plan and conduct workshops.

  • Excellent stakeholder management.

  • Self-starter, proactive, independently work and be responsible.

  • Knowledge of Agile, Scrum and Kanban, Jira and confluence, concept of role of BA in an Agile project.
