Full Job Description

This role is to provide business analysis support to the Global Liquidity Portal (GLP) team and its stakeholders. GLP is a vendor hosted web application that allows clients of HSBC to directly trade into and out of their money market funds. It is an integral part of the GLP team and important to the success of the portal. Onboarding new clients, managing workflows and supporting queries is needed to grow the assets under management on the portal. The role is based in the UK, and it will work with a geographically diverse stakeholder base in many regions and with many internal employees with both client-facing roles and internal support roles. It has specific focus on managing new activity, team communications and other service support tasks. Support the delivery of one-off projects as well as ongoing maintenance, analysis and planning efforts. In addition, the role participates in change driven project work to support the implementation and maintenance of the future target state of the
portal.,

  • Work in a team of portal and liquidity asset class specialists located within HSBC Asset Management


  • Support the continuous improvement of all aspects of the portal: from onboarding to workflows to communications


  • Work closely with and provide support to key stakeholders from the business lines and functions within AM


  • Maintain the GLP Issues List and provide weekly updates to key stakeholders


  • Monitor email flows for new accounts, issues and escalations; providing support when needed to ensure our internal clients are satisfied with our level of service and to maintain SLA's


  • Ensure quality and consistency of client, sales and client services experiences when dealing with the portal


  • Effectively deliver operational processes day to day. Deliver ongoing improvements with process driven solutions


  • Provide portal subject matter expertise to provide our sales teams with the knowledge and support they need to effectively position the portal with their clients and prospects


  • Manage delivery of services to Asset Management's internal policies and requirements

    Detail oriented and able to prioritise multiple projects and/or tasks. Ability to lead small focused projects


  • The role requires an individual who is goal orientated, commercially minded, customer and results focused. Demonstrates courageous integrity and ability to challenge existing and new practices


  • Proven ability to work accurately within tight timescales and interact well within a team environment. Ability to clearly articulate concepts and issues, manage/interpret the deliverables, and translate theory into practical business solutions


  • Self-starter with proven ability to work collaboratively within a team and who can influence and motivate people around them. Excellent written/verbal communication skills


  • Willingness to learn new business areas of asset management and liquidity. Eagerness to pitch-in where opportunities exist to support the team and AMG


  • Confidence to ask questions, to say when an issue isn't clear to you, and the ability to say "I don't know but I'll find out and get back to you"
