Full Job Description

As a Business Administration Apprentice, you will provide an efficient and effective administrative support to team members across departments, enabling them to execute team objectives and priorities.

Your day-to-day tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Engage with and understand the company purpose, and how it interacts within a wider context, including regulatory bodies

  • Undertake administrative tasks, such as photocopying, processing post, maintaining records and files in accordance with organisation's procedures

  • Use of Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel

  • Liaising with our staff at Resource Hub and our practices, or other external stakeholders to assist in achieving successful outcomes for the company

  • Ensuring all general enquiries (email, face-to-face, telephone and letters) are responded to in a sensitive and timely manner, in accordance with procedures and directing difficult/complex enquiries to the appropriate staff

  • Learn to accurately input data into digital systems, databases and spreadsheets and process and retrieve data as necessary

  • Liaise with staff, clients, and other agencies, to share information where appropriate, ensuring that organisation's procedures are properly followed

  • Minute, produce and distribute accurate records of meetings

  • Administer petty cash, expenses where appropriate

  • Administer financial processes, including processing invoices, scheduling payments and bank reconciliation, querying any variance directly with suppliers

  • Learn to provide support to individual managers as required, including diary management, travel planning, arranging, and supporting events and arranging and meetings

  • Learn to contribute to the organisation of an event

  • Learn how to answer and resolve an issue for our staff at Resource Hub and our practices, or other external stakeholders

  • Undertake and lead on projects as and when required

  • Learn to manage professional development and prioritisation of workload to include training time required to achieve relevant apprenticeship qualification

  • Where a business administrator has not already achieved Level 2 English and maths, they must do so before taking the end-point assessment.     Following successful probationary period (3 months), the apprentice would be entitled to:
