Broiler and general farm worker

Primarily, daily care of the 300,000 birds, working with and being trained by our chicken manager and his son who have been with us for 27 years.

This entails checking the birds, maintenance of the feeders, drinkers and other equipment, driving various machines to clean out the sheds, setting up the sheds for the next batch every 8 weeks, placing day old chicks etc.

For the right person, this job could extend to becoming a chicken manager with all the necessary training, the salary reflecting your level of expertise.

Also some general farm work - helping on the arable side at harvest and busy times, maintaining biomass boilers and generally keeping everything clean and tidy.

This is a family run 900 acre farm on which we pride ourselves with the levels of tidiness and use of all the latest machinery. The poultry sheds are all state of the art and computer controlled to produce top quality birds.
