Full Job Description

Mental Health Support Teams in Schools (MHSTs) are an exciting development, located in schools and AFC offices and provide a whole school approach to mental health; including individual and group work with students and parents, staff training and consultation and policy and ethos advice. The team is part of the broader Emotional Health Service (EHS) and links closely with AFCs other education and social care teams., As the Borough Lead for the Kingston MHST you will be passionate about improving the mental health of children and young people and putting them at the heart of decision making and everything you do. This role would complement a part-time 8A MHST post and is intended to support thedevelopment of leadership skills.

You will work in partnership with the MHST Head of Service. You will assume some aspects of strategic leadership at the direction of the MHST Head of Service and in collaboration with the ICB, NHS England and Health Education England. When required, you may be asked to cover the Head of Service in meetings. The post holder will be expected to be dynamic, creative and innovative to ensure effective and impactful delivery of services. The post holder will receive line management within the service alongside CPD opportunities.
