Banksman

responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the sites daily operations.

Priority is to ensure the operation is managed safely with all staff and visitors

follow correct site procedures and governed regulations at all times.

Responsibilities

· Monitor and direct all incoming and outgoing traffic within the yard.

· Check and access waste as it enters site to ensure it is permitted on the site

permit

· Direct site users to the correct tipping location within the yard

· Ensure that all site users follow site rules.

· Ensure that housekeeping standards in the yard are maintained to the highest

level at all times

· Report all accidents and incidents in accordance with company rules, Assisting

with specific investigations as appropriate

· knowledge of the waste and recycling industries would be an advantage

although training can be provided.

· Willingly take on additional workload to help other team members while

maintaining a positive attitude.

· Has experience of operating a weighbridge would be an advantage but

training can be provided.

Skills / Competencies.

· Banksman Trained would be an advantage although full training can be

provided to the right candidate.

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Excellent Organizational Skills

Ability to build strong working relationships with drivers, operators, and other

team members
