Full Job Description

Our residential home currently supports 6 individuals. The home is run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Support workers help the residents complete their everyday routines, prepare meals, as well as help them learn essential home skills such as doing the washing and making the bed. We support the residents to develop their skill and independence, Residents attend social clubs, enjoy time in their large garden, have themed nights, pub quizzes and enjoy days out

We also have 4 Supported Living Services , supporting between 1- 4 Autistic Adults living in their own homes individually or in very small groups.

Our safe environment and fully trained experienced staff support the people to have a good quality of life, ensuring support and activities are meaningful to each individual.

Previous experience of working with people who exhibit challenging behaviour is desirable but not essential for this role. You will need to be enthusiastic and willing to help individuals with a variety of care and support needs including:

  • Accessing the community, shopping, social outings and leisure activities

  • Domestic tasks like cooking and personal care

  • Please note driving is a desirable requirement for this role in order to enable some of the people we support access activities outside of Mildenhall. Please indicate on your application if you are able to drive and hold a full UK driving licence.
