We are looking for an enthusiastic clinical pharmacist to join our expanding Cancer Services Team to work in close collaboration with the Berkshire Cancer Centre and Clinical Haematology Team to deliver excellent care for our cancer patients.

The successful candidate will have a special interest in Cancer Services. They should demonstrate a combination of clinical and technical skills which will be developed in order that they can deputise for the Accountable Pharmacist and the Clinical Oncology and Haematology Pharmacists within Cancer Services and on in-and outpatient chemotherapy wards. You will be working in partnership with three other Band 7 pharmacists in your role.

We are passionate about nurturing the skills of professionals with limited experience. Therefore, we welcome applications from pharmacists interested in a Band 6 to 7 development role., You must be a highly motivated pharmacist who is enthusiastic about providing excellent patient-focused care within a multidisciplinary team. You should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and significant experience in hospital pharmacy.

This position will require you to be organised, to develop yourself and the work of your team, and must be able to work accurately under pressure. Having previous experience of caring for people with cancer would be an advantage but is not essential and full training will be offered within our supportive team.,

  • Current registered Member of GPhC

  • Masters Degree in Pharmacy or UK recognised equivalent (from an accredited University registered with GPhC).

  • Post graduate Clinical Certificate or equivalent relevant experience, Extensive Multi-disciplinary Teamwork

  • Post-registration relevant Hospital Pharmacy Experience

  • Recent Clinical pharmacy/ward Pharmacy experience

  • Extensive patient contact

  • Clinical pharmacy experience in Oncology/Haematology

  • Appropriate experience of working in a Cancer services environment, You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
