This may include recognising and interpreting behaviours, especially those associated with anxious patients and dealing with them accordingly. Providing Oral Health Education to patients and preparing information on Oral Health promotion, working within the boundaries of your training. Managing the patient appointment system and dental records (manual and electronic). Disinfecting or sterilising all equipment in accordance with Defence Primary Healthcare (Dental) Infection Prevention Control policy and manufacturers instructions.

Due to COVID 19, there is now a requirement for dental clinical staff to be fit tested for a FFP3 mask, which has to be worn when managing a patient who is undergoing an aerosol generating procedure (AGP). The successful candidate will be fit tested prior to commencing employment. Please note the salary will be pro-rata where part time hours are undertaken.
