Client portfolio management: Responsible for the day-to-day oversight of diverse client accounts.

Relationship building: Nurture strong and lasting relationships with both existing and potential clients understanding their unique needs and customising strategies to their specific business needs.

Client engagement: Actively lead client meetings, PR activities, and company updates to maintain a consistent brand message.

Strategic marketing: Take a lead role in developing and implementing bespoke marketing strategies for each client account. This involves a deep understanding of each client's industry and specific business goals. The Account Director will provide support and oversight.

Content creation: Develop engaging narratives, pitches, and a mix of technical and creative content to elevate the client's multi-channel presence.

Material production: Generate marketing materials like flyers, brochures, and newsletters to support client campaigns.

Client account growth strategy: Actively engage in strategic initiatives for client account growth, working alongside Account Directors to set and achieve targets for expanding PHD's revenue contributions from existing client portfolios.

Analytical oversight: Lead the assessment of PR coverage and account performance, producing quarterly reports that not only assess the effectiveness of strategies but also help in future decision-making processes.

Media relations: Establish and maintain a strong network of industry-specific media contacts. Leverage established relationships to maximise client exposure and tailor media strategies to client-specific industries.

Planner and process management: Ensure compliance with established client management processes. Identify and raise concerns regarding inefficient or ineffective processes to the Account Director for review and improvement.

Client revenue and service expansion: Identify opportunities to expand PHD's revenue streams with existing clients by understanding their evolving needs and proposing additional relevant services.

Pitch and proposal development: Collaborate with ADs to build pitches and proposals.

Teamwork: Utilise Teamwork for strategic client and project management. Oversee and ensure accurate activity logging by the client team for enhanced transparency and effective coordination. Take a proactive role in streamlining communication and task management processes, leveraging Teamwork's capabilities for optimal efficiency and team synergy.

Market insight and adaptation: Continuously monitor market trends and client industries to adapt strategies dynamically, maintaining relevance and effectiveness.

Reporting and communication: Regularly liaise with Account Directors, providing insights into account performance and strategic adjustments.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We value a strong B2B background, exceptional interpersonal skills, an affinity for creativity, and the ability to manage extensive technical & scientific content. Previous agency experience is preferred, but we also welcome candidates with extensive stakeholder management experience in a B2B setting.

Experience of working within the life sciences, pharma, health & nutrition sectors is desirable.

  • Minimum three years' experience in account management and campaign delivery in a B2B environment

  • Minimum three years' copywriting experience in a client-facing setting

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills

  • Expertise in B2B copywriting and marketing

  • Knowledge and copywriting experience within the life sciences, pharma, nutrition & personal care sectors ideal but not essential

  • Advanced relationship-building skills, with a focus on nurturing long-term client partnerships

  • Ability to transform complex information into compelling marketing plans

  • Versatility in writing styles for various client audiences

  • Creative, strategic thinker with business acumen

  • Proficient in market research and analytics, coupled with a deep understanding of various industry landscapes

  • Highly organised, capable of managing multiple clients and complex projects simultaneously

  • Service-oriented and confidentiality-sensitive

  • Self-driven, with excellent planning and time management skills

  • Strong media relations skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites

  • Full driving licence

  • Minimum of three A-Levels, Bachelor's Degree
