Full Job Description

Our Product Team leads the vision, design, and development of our platforms. As a member of the team, you will play a crucial role in creating a market leading platform. You will also be a Subject Matter Expert of our platform, and the underlying financial products that it services.
You role will be primarily focused on the development of the new Distributor Finance product, working within an agile team focusing on end-to-end analysis and design of the product.
The Product team is split into three sub-teams: Discovery, Design, and Delivery.
As an Associate within Product Design, you will also work with (1) Product Discovery to (i) turn product ideas into clear requirements, including signing off user stories and acceptance criteria; (ii) roadmap development priorities; (iii) manage stakeholder communication of product roadmap; and (2) Product Delivery to (i) help with user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure requirements are developed and released as expected; (ii) review Product Documentation to ensure they are fit for purpose.

What you'll do

  • Work closely with Discovery to understand new product requirements and concepts arising from client discussions

  • For new features that are to be added to our platform, create clear requirement specifications to be presented to Technology teams

  • Lead or participate in the design of Technical solutions for functional requirements

  • Review and sign off user stories and acceptance criteria

  • Prepare agendas and materials for internal workshops with Technology teams, ensuring that the correct requirements are being discussed and in a timely manner

  • Analyse data from Jira and prepare reporting on key metrics for product requirements

  • Support periodic backlog refinement, to ensure the product backlog contains valid and prioritized requirements

  • Support with preparing communication of product roadmap to key stakeholders

  • Support Delivery in user acceptance testing, to ensure the successful deployment of product releases in alignment with requirements

  • Support Delivery in preparation of relevant documentation such as user manuals

1-3 years of experience in an advisory or product management role

  • Basic understanding of Software Product Delivery processes, especially in Agile methodologies

  • Basic understanding of the Software delivery lifecycle including Requirements Gathering, User Stories, Development, QA, UAT and Release management

  • Understanding of user experience (UX) design and its importance in product development

  • Ability to use Jira and Confluence as key product management tools

  • Have genuine interest in technology concepts; must have tech "at heart"

  • Passion for challenge and opportunity to grow in a rapid moving entrepreneur environment

  • Understanding of working capital solutions is a big bonus but not a core requirement.

If you don't think you meet all the criteria above but still are interested in the role, please apply. Nobody meets all of the requirements and we're looking for someone excited to join the team.
