An opportunity has arisen to appoint an experienced Commercial Property Litigator to our team. The successful candidate will be working across our specialist sectors, advising upon and dealing with a range of litigation to include court proceedings, arbitrations and expert determinations. The successful candidate will have their own case load and conduct of high-value and complex litigation.

You will have experience of commercial landlord and tenant disputes, including lease renewals pursuant to the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954. You will have dealt with common commercial property asset management matters such as alienation disputes, break notices, dilapidations, possession claims, rent arrears recovery and forfeiture. Your previous dealings will have included adverse possession claims, disputes concerning development and option agreements, easement and restrictive covenant disputes. Whilst practice in housing/residential litigation shall be useful, your predominant practice to date should be commercial property disputes.

You will work within the Commercial Property Litigation team across the entire litigation process to include working in specialist court divisions such as The Business and Property Courts, as well as being responsible for managing lower value claims.

You will have the desire to be involved in sector meetings as well as to assist with business development, seminars and presentations. You will enjoy supervising more junior members of the team and in time, there would be opportunity for the right candidate to line manage colleagues.
About the candidate

The ideal candidate will have 6 years+ PQE with sound experience of dealing with a variety of litigation matters. You will also be familiar with mediation and be able to hold a client's confidence, advising in relation to strategy, quantum and merits relating to any claim.
