Associate Educator-Maternity

Please see attached job description for full details The Associate Educator will work under the supervision of the Lead Midwife for Education and Practice Development lead within the Practice Development Team. The post holder will assist in the delivery of the Maternity Support Workers (MSW) education and development within the Trust. It is anticipated the post holder will have Level 3 Diploma status in Health and Social care, or equivalent, in line with the Institute of apprenticeships and technical education and adopt a Senior Health Care Assistant Role. Working under the supervision of the Lead Midwife the post holder will assist in ensuring that the education and development needs of the MSWs workforce are identified and addressed using approved, proven and credible methods. The post holder will be a visible role model, providing clinical support to MSWs. The majority of the post holders time will be spent in the clinical environment, which includes all clinical departments and

clinical skills labs. The post holder will be able to prioritise duties, be accountable for their own actions and demonstrate initiative and the ability to work within their own level of competence and ability. The post holder must be able to adopt a flexible approach to work patterns and environment.
