Associate Director â€" Energy & Infrastructure

As a Barclays Associate Director - Energy and Infrastructure, you will work closely with the Relationship Directors to help in the growth and management of their client portfolios. This includes critical support in the successful implementation of complex transactions through effective deal management and use of solid internal networks. The Energy & Infrastructure team serves the banking requirements of a diverse set of clients in the renewable energy, infrastructure, oil & gas and utilities sectors., At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, 'anchor', days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). What will you be doing?

• Being a key member of the deal teams in the execution of complex lending transactions and new deals


• Acting as the project manager to ensure the transactions are delivered on time & in line with client expectations and Bank regulations to achieve great client outcomes


• Engaging with clients at all levels within their organisation, including senior decision makers


• Ensuring ownership of an appropriate level of the client relationship within complex multi-layered companies


• Assisting with the creation, co-ordination and delivery of robust client account plans, identifying appropriate product solutions for clients and with their delivery


• Attending client meetings with or without the Relationship Director and be willing to lead these meetings in support of colleagues such as Associate Bankers


• Helping Credit Managers in the preparation of credit reports as required and be proactive in developing own credit skills


• Undertaking complex pricing submissions and helping with pricing committees as required
  
  Experience in the Energy & Infrastructure sector


• Prior experience with financial analysis and modelling for credit applications


• Solid grasp of credit risk and how general economic change impacts a Bank's business


• Team focused individual, with the confidence to successfully interact with some of the Bank's most sophisticated and complex clients


Skills that will help you in the role:


• Awareness and knowledge of Barclays Corporate & Investment Banking products & services, detailed knowledge of profit drivers (income, RWAs, pricing, credit grading, etc.)


• Solid grasp of complex debt and organisational structures


• Ability to proactively take personal initiative in terms of planning, organising and balancing workflow commitments


• Good grasp of the policies and strategies as they relate to the demands of the Team's client base
