Full Job Description

Jacobs Strategic Consulting includes over 800 staff providing solutions to clients investing in, planning, constructing, operating, and maintaining assets in the buildings and infrastructure sectors. Within Strategic Consulting, the Transactions, Commercial and Contracts Advisory (TCCA) practice group provides specialist technical advice to public and private sector clients across a number of sectors, including rail, aviation, highways, maritime, energy & utilities and the built environment. Key propositions we bring to the market include:

· Commercial strategy development and business planning

· Demand and revenue forecasting

· Operational and financial modelling

· Policy development

· Regulation, incentive mechanisms, and contracts advice

· Transactions advice - commercial and technical due diligence

· Bid support and tender evaluation.

The successful candidate(s) will:

· Be a project lead and provide oversight to team(s) on projects in TCCA, particularly in aviation;

· Provide technical leadership to demand forecasting and market development studies including standalone forecasts, but also as part of transactions, business planning and due diligence commissions;

· Communicate knowledge of key market trends clearly and effectively both internally and externally;

· Pro-actively develop skills within the team by mentoring and providing support and guidance to staff; and

· Offer leadership in other business planning capabilities such as revenue model development, operating cost performance, etc OR provide demand forecasting leadership in other sectors OR both

· Experienced infrastructure and transaction professional with experience of producing and delivering technical projects.

· Demonstrated experience of industry applicable forecasting techniques;

· Broader experience of the wider aviation sector, to include areas such as business planning, aeronautical and commercial revenues, operating costs, regulation, strategy development, management organisation and capacity appraisal;

· Excellent analytical skills, an ability to lead complex spreadsheet models, including familiarity with modelling best practice;

· Extensive experience of producing high quality technical reports for private and public sector clients;

· Experience of leading technical workstreams and overall projects;

· An ability to work effectively as part of a team and to share ideas and expertise with team members to support ongoing learning and improvement
