Full Job Description

We are newly recruiting for an Associate to join our Banking team in Bristol. This role would best suit a qualified lawyer between 1-4 year's PQE, looking for a flexible working role with great quality work, team collaboration and opportunities for progressions.

Our Banking team provide expert and commercial advice in all areas of general corporate lending (including acquisition finance), real estate finance and renewables finance.

Your Role

As a key addition to our Bristol team, day to day in the role of Associate, you can expect to be involved with :

  • Managing your own caseload for a variety of clients and supporting Partners with larger transactions

  • Providing an excellent service to our clients through close collaboration with colleagues from across the UK in both the Banking team and other specialisms

  • Participating in business development opportunities helping to strengthen relationships with our clients, Operating from offices across the UK, our expanding and ambitious partner-led team provide tactical, commercially minded services across all aspects of financing.


  • We act for a broad range of debt funders and have positions on the general lending panels of nearly all the high street lenders.

    In addition, we act for a wide spectrum of corporate borrowers in all our key sectors in the investment and non-investment grade spaces.

    We provide clear commercial advice on all areas of restructuring and insolvency law. With broad and deep expertise in restructuring and insolvency, and specialism in the acquisition and disposal of debt portfolios, we act for everyone from corporates and their boards to banks and government agencies.

    From large restructuring, workouts and formal insolvencies to acting for individual creditors and assisting stakeholders, we're ready when clients need us.

  • A Qualified Solicitor (SRA or Law Society Registered) 1+ year PQE, with a background in real estate finance or corporate banking

  • A forward thinker, with excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills, you will be self-motivated with the ability to manage workloads and deadlines

  • Commercially aware with enthusiasm for business development, and an appetite for keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in your practice area and sector focus

  • Able to understand your client's business needs, and act in the best interest of the firm and the client

  • An ambitious and enthusiastic team player, able to support senior fee earners and contribute to our collaborative culture
