Full Job Description

To ensure all stock is chased in, in a timely manner, liaising with suppliers and communicating any delays to the Senior Merchandiser. Working alongside the warehouse and customer services to facilitate any issues and queries. Working with the Senior Merchandiser to help set up new products after trade shows and ensure we have samples & stock in on time for our catalogues, taking full control of the catalogue process from start to finish., No.1 Priority PO CHASE

Ownership of all UK/EUR line flows and re-orders into the business by chasing orders daily and maintaining housekeeping on inhouse system. Creating an ongoing PO report and reporting back to the Senior Merchandiser. (I.e. updating due dates on orders, quantity changes, part shipments etc.). Report back to team and wider business if delays. Check order confirmation qty's and prices are correct. Checking the GIT daily and reporting any delivery discrepancies to the supplier asap - following through to resolution (replacement/credit/re-delivery).

No.2 Priority SHOPS

Create Shop Replens / Shop Sweeps all shops. Plan Christmas roll-out in to stores and display items. Ensure Shops have catalogue stock 2 weeks prior to launch. Create stores Best Seller Report - Check in with the shops which reports would be helpful. Report to team on EOD emails from stores, flag actions and key info. Re-distributing SHOP ONLY stock to stores (Jewellery, Chocolate, cards). Plan de-sale with Senior Merchandiser. Ensure all Sale Items are sent to shops in time and liaise with shops and warehouse for De-Sales. Continually reviewing MOQ and Pack Sizes of products being sent to stores.

No.3 Priority CREATING

Aid the Senior Merchandiser in creating new items after trade shows and orders when requested and gathering relevant information on new products for the business. Ensure products have the correct details in the database at all times, regularly review and flag to Senior Merchandiser if changes are needed. Set-up all new products/creating new Sofas. Creating and Processing Antonia Orders.

No.4 Priority ORDERING

Review and order Cushion Pad stock. Assist the Senior Merchandiser to raise orders and forecast stock and reserves through the seasons.

No.5 Priority WEBSHOOTS

Organise Samples for Web Shoots / Catalogue Shoots (UK/EUR). Be aware of stock availability for Catalogue Launches. General sample management. Attend shoots where required and work with the team to complete the catalogue breakdown, take part in all catalogue checks (old and new items) through to completion/ launch.

No.6 Priority CATALOGUES

Responsible for organising the team for the catalogue process, meeting with the web team and being the one to make notes on the catalogue to present to Graphics. Ownership of communicating comments of catalogue check to Graphics. QC Catalogue.

No.7 Priority QUERIES

Responsible for answering all Warehouse/Customer Service queries on UK/EUR products; liaising with suppliers and communicating feedback to relevant departments. Checking the GIT daily and reporting any delivery discrepancies to the supplier asap - following through to resolution (replacement/credit/re-delivery).

OTHER DUTIES

Reporting - Create Back in Stock / New In stock / Due In reports to present to the company with a summary and Best Sellers Report. In stock % for all and for Catalogues.

TO tracker, make sure TO's are collected from HO when shops have deliveries

  • Generate Barcodes if required

  • Create Sell-thru Trackers for the seasons and update weekly.

  • Shipping documents, commodity codes, quotes.

  • Repairs - helping WH clear down and prioritise.

  • Work with Warehouse to ensure Photo Bin is up to date.

  • Check order confirmation quantities and prices are correct.

  • Processing claims on damaged stock from UK/EU deliveries.

  • Check stock forecasting for marketing purposes.

  • Work with the Senior Merchandiser to build and maintain good relationships with suppliers; communicating reforecasting and season planning and collating new product launches to share.

  • Attend trade shows and some catalogue photoshoots.

  • To help cover the team when out of the business.

  • Build Relationships with key departments and warehouse., This is a summary of the role and the Merchandising Assistant is expected to undertake additional ad-hoc duties as and when necessary to fulfil the needs of the business.
