Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Merchandiser to join our Fashion Stationery team, at our High Street Head Office in Swindon. The main purpose of this role is to assist the Merchandiser in the management of stock and availability within set targets to deliver budgeted sales and contribution.

What you'll be doing:

  • Working with the Merchandiser on planning open to buy and budget for sub categories

  • Reviewing dated stock and problem stock reports

  • Production of range plans and accurate item ranging to support the delivery of the buying plan

  • Achievement of Stock and Availability levels versus forecast and budget

  • Production of stock intake and distribution plans including PO management and best method of supply

  • Production and review of promotional and ongoing forecasts

  • Monitoring clearance of stock to forecast

  • Monitoring stock Key Performance Indicators

  • Supporting range review and range construction processes.

  • Day to Day management of OTB process, intake and exit stock

  • Creating and managing the forecasting of new and ongoing lines

    Previous merchandising or Supply chain experience, ideally gained in a Retail/ FMCG environment

  • Excellent PC skills including Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, vlookups)

  • Experience of using Stock management systems and other bespoke software

  • Exceptional Analytical skills with strong commercial acumen

  • Experience of supervising a small team would be highly beneficial
