Assistant Locality Manager - 11 Month Maternity Cover

Our team in Wakefield has a fantastic opportunity available for an ambitious and values-driven person who is passionate about person-centred care to join us as an Assistant Locality Manager! You will be supporting people with autism, learning disabilities and behaviours of distress to live their lives how they choose.

This is a full-time position where you will be working 37.5 hours per week in the homes of the people we support or the Wakefield Office. Although based in Wakefield, you will also be asked to travel to the other homes we provide support for in Calderdale, York and Wetherby. You will be required to work flexibly on the rota; this would include a combination of day shifts, any day of the week, including some weekends and bank holidays. You will be working closely with the locality manager in providing leadership to the team, mentoring staff, meeting with health professionals and families and ensuring relevant reviews take place. You will be accountable for completing regular supervisions to the staff teams and attending team meetings and reporting.

You will work in a person centred way, reviewing practice, reviewing support plans, risk assessments and monitoring and reporting accident and incidents, identifying any safeguarding concerns, raising these in line with Dimensions procedures. There may be occasions where you will need to cover supporting on shift in an emergency., As an integral part of the local management team, the Assistant Locality Manager will support the Locality Manager to ensure we provide a high-quality service to the people we support across various supported living homes in Calderdale, York and Wetherby.
You will work closely with your manager and peers to ensure that services within your locality are delivered in a way that puts the people we support at the centre of their support, promoting rights, choice, dignity, and diversity and following our principles of personalised services.
You will undertake a variety of delegated management tasks to be performed during your off-rota time and will deputise for the Locality Manager during their absence.

You will need to have previous experience supporting people with learning disabilities and autism
Experience supporting people who display behaviours that others may find challenging
You will need the ability to prioritise workload, manage your own time, delegate tasks, and meet deadlines.
You will need to have up-to-date knowledge of the personalisation agenda and Active Support provision.
You will need the personality to develop positive working relationships across Dimensions - including the people we support, their families, internal colleagues, and external agencies.
You will need to have the willingness to work towards a Diploma Level 3 in Health and Social Care/Leadership and Management for Care Services.

You will need to be self-motivated and able to work on your own as well as part of a team.

You will need to be confident in using Dimensions own IT applications (training given)
You will need a full UK driving licence, your own car and business insurance.

The total annual pay for the role is £ 34,620.47 made up of a basic salary of £ 30,104.76 plus an additional 15% annual allowance for 37.5 hours off rota (£4,515.71).
