Assistant Legal Counsel - Veet and Intimate Wellness

This role is an integral part of our Category Development Organisation Legal Health & Hygiene team, providing as part of the team support to the Intimate Wellness and Veet brand teams as well as associated global functions, including the R&D, Medical and Regulatory teams. You will be a partner to the business working collaboratively with both legal and non-legal colleagues and stakeholders, whilst gaining experience on the research and development of medical devices, cosmetics, and general products and devices., Working in collaboration with the Senior Legal Counsel, Intimate Wellness & Veet, deliver operational legal support to aspects of global product development, marketing, advertising and commercialisation, including:

• Assisting with approvals of global advertising and marketing claims, on-pack copy and marketing materials including social media posts, trade and conference materials and point of sale, to ensure compliance with laws and guidance relating mainly to medical devices and/or cosmetics, and with Reckitt policies.


• Assisting with tracking challenges to Reckitt advertising and marketing claims in local markets, and other advertising and marketing challenges or adjudications relevant to the medical devices, cosmetics, and general products and devices categories.


• Preparing notes of meeting of Intimate Wellness and/or Veet leadership team meetings.


• Carrying out legal research following enquiries regarding laws or guidance relating to medical devices and cosmetics including any marketing matter.


• Liaising with Reckitt lawyers worldwide and other legal functions such as Global Brand Protection, Patents and Procurement, ensuring regular communication of issues, and seeking or providing advice as needed.


• Provide legal support on commercial contracts, and using Reckitt templates, reviewing and/or drafting simple agreements, including letters of authority, powers of attorney, and statements of work for signed services agreements.


• Working with the cross-functional team, support the business in managing the implications of changes to relevant laws, particularly in relation to products on the market.


• Prepare training materials to educate relevant business units on frequently encountered legal issues.


• Assisting with preparation of contributions relating to Intimate Wellness & Veet to CDO Legal Health & Hygiene forms, templates, policies and practices.


• Provide legal assistance as needed by Senior Legal Counsel, Intimate Wellness & Veet on ad hoc matters including competitor challenges, supply chain matters, product related litigation, M&A and product recalls.
  
  Legal experience, preferably in a commercial legal department in-house.


• High level of attention to detail.


• Practical and commercial approach to problem solving.


• Review, drafting experience.


• Comfortable discussing/being involved in conversations around intimate wellness.
