Full Job Description

As Assistant Financial Accountant of our Finance Shared Services team, you will play a key part in accounting operations activities for several entities, ensuring the integrity, completeness, and accuracy of financial reporting.

A significant element of this is, in conjunction with Commercial Finance Business Partners, ensuring that cost centers accurately and completely reflect business activities. In addition to opex management for these specific entities, you'll be responsible for a variety of revenue, payroll and general accounting activities.

  • Opex Accounting - responsible for the completeness of operations expenses for specific departments, analysing RAQA, Legal and marketing activity trackers to establish accruals, as well as calculate and prepare required accruals and prepayment journal entries.

  • General Accounting - preparing journal entries related to tax, lease accounting and associated balance sheet reconciliations, submit intercompany recharges, calculate freight an duty accrual and manage central prepayment accounts.

  • Payroll Accounting - Prepare journal entries, Concur expenses and headcount reconciliations.

  • Support revenue accounting activities including recognition adjustments, revenue reconciliations and reporting, as well as revenue validation activities for SOX controls.

    We are looking for someone who has worked within an accounting role for 1-3 years within a large matrix organisation, possibly part qualified (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) and has a broad knowledge of financial areas including financial accounting and is used to working across a number of entities.
