Full Job Description

Working closely with the Senior Financial Accountant and global Finance personnel, the Assistant Financial Accountant will be responsible for:

· Be an integral part of the month end process, including sales reconciliations for overseas offices

· Ownership and maintenance of system exchange rates

· Working closely with international offices and tax advisors and assisting with global VAT and sales tax filings

· Monthly inter-company invoices and reconciliations

· Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations for indirect tac accounts

· Assisting with the UK and overseas statutory audits

· Maintaining accurate system process notes

· Provide assistance and support on global indirect tax/VAT/sales tax queries, as required

· Assisting the team with other ad hoc projects as required, including testing for implementation of new accounting system Microsoft Dynamics 365

· Bachelor's degree/equivalent in finance/accounting with desire to complete a professional qualification in accounting

· Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail vital for this role

· Good communication skills, both verbal and written

· Naturally curious and inquisitive with a strong desire to learn and understand and all things financial reporting and tax

· Enjoys working with people and teams across the globe

· Proven ability to work towards and meet deadlines

· Highly organised individual with the ability to work on several projects at once

· Advanced excel skills

· Flexible approach

· Experience with Sage 1000 or Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred but not required

· Experience with working with foreign currencies preferred but not required
