Assistant / Duty Manager

We're looking for a passionate hospitality manager to take the lead at our village local in the North Walsham area, which is a traditional wet led pub but with a niche food concept. You'll be the face of the business, equally adept at building local relationships, leading your team and managing the P&L. Key roles will be:

• Create a consistent offer that meets the demands of the local community and an events calendar that draws people in


• Deliver a service led venue where patrons feel welcome at all times, whether they're visiting for a quick drink or there for the evening, live down the road or have travelled an hour to get there


• Build a strong, flexible and adaptable team with focus on developing talent for the groups future sites and managing seasonal changes


• Work with the village stakeholders to ensure the pub is at the heart of the community and develop a rhythm of the week that attracts from the wider catchment


• Meet the sales and profit targets for the business, managing suppliers & other contracts to maintain acceptable returns
  
  At least 1-2 years in a duty management role in a similar venue


• An understanding of the local area


• Experience of working directly with the business owners & a small yet growing business (preferred)


• Desire to learn & develop your skills and ambition to take on a bigger venue in 6-8 months.

Pay: Up to £25,000.00 per year
