Full Job Description

We are looking for someone with a can do attitude who has excellent writing, digital and social media skills, and who is able to communicate the Councils commitment to diversity & inclusion through a consistent inclusive approach and is interested in supporting the varied work of the HDRC team and Collaboration.

You should be adaptable, creative, organised, and enthusiastic and willing to learn new skills and work with a variety of new people from a range of diverse backgrounds both within the Council and across our communities of Coventry.

We are looking for someone with the ability to work effectively within a team, and take responsibility for their work, but who is comfortable with a complex and evolving working environment.,

    The NIHR-funded HDRC Coventry aims to improve the use of evidence and research on the factors that impact the health of Coventry's diverse local communities. The team at Coventry City Council plays a vital role in meeting the HDRC objectives. We are striving to boost the capacity and skills for research in the council, by working together with local universities, the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector, and local communities.

    What is the job role?

    The role is part of the HDRC team in the Council's Public Health service and requires using communication skills to explain the benefits of the HDRC.

    The role needs someone who can create excitement and interest among various stakeholders and help us showcase the successes of the collaboration partnership as it develops. Along with communications, the role will help us engage directly with people from Coventry's diverse communities to make sure they are involved inclusively.

    The role is based in the Council's wider Public Health team and will work with the Council's Communications team. It will also collaborate closely with teams from the universities and other organisations.

    It is a 2-year fixed-term contract/secondment with a possible extension., Coventry has a proud, innovative and creative spirit that throughout its history has seen communities come together to tackle problems and bring about real social change.
