Assistant Accountant apprenticeship (level 3)

Working within a small and friendly accounts team, you will support the following tasks among others:

• Processing invoices/proformas for the sales ledger.


• Preparing sales reports for managers.


• Entering receipts and expenses into accounting software for the purchase ledger.


• Assisting with preparation of month end management accounts and year end financial statements., As an apprentice, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and learn from experienced professionals in this sector. You will be responsible for assisting with various tasks and duties while receiving on-the-job training and educational support. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are looking to start their career in the field of accountancy and gain valuable skills.

Training

• Training takes place once per week at Grantham College, Stonebridge Rd, Grantham, NG31 9AP.


• If you don't already have 4/C at GCSE (or equivalent), you will need to take classes of 1 hr each per week alongside your apprenticeship and achieve these results during the apprenticeship as a condition of completing your apprenticeship. There is no cost to you for this.


• Successful completion of the apprenticeship will award you with the AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting and the Level 3 Assistant Accountant apprenticeship standard.
  
  Goldholme Stone, based in Corby Glen, is looking for an apprentice to complete the level 3 Assistant Accountant apprenticeship with their support.


Interested candidates who don't already have a level 2 accountancy qualification, should please apply for the level 2 apprenticeship with the same company instead.

Training takes place on a weekly basis at Grantham College (NG31 9AP). Please be aware that the main role is based in a remote rural location so you will need your own transport to travel there. Please ensure you can travel to us before applying.

If you are a good fit for the team and succeed at level 3, there may be the option to continue your apprenticeship to the next level with us/gain a full-time role.
