Access Education Group has an exciting opportunity for a city wide Facilities Manager to join our Bristol operation. You will be responsible for managing facilities and maintenance of four campus buildings for Access Creative College and dBs Institute, our FE and HE providers respectively.

Our students benefit from a wide range of facilities including; recording and rehearsal studios, PC and Mac labs, performance facilities and dedicated specialist spaces all designed for the delivery of courses to develop the next generation of creative industry professionals.

We are looking for an engaged and experienced Facilities Manager to lead the implementation of a new Facilities Management service. Reporting into the Central Team you will be our onsite lead for all things Facilities. Your priorities will be managing compliance, raising standards, driving change and ensuring that we are providing a high quality, safe, healthy and secure site for staff, students and visitors.

All of this feeds into delivering an exceptional student experience for which we're all ultimately responsible.

You should be inspired by leading people in a fast paced environment and energised by contributing to overall success through teamwork and building relationships with stakeholders. You should be a Facilities Manager with experience in driving change, contract and supplier management, capital planning and work order management for urgent, planned, and reactive maintenance as well as a people person with the ability to work within and manage a team.

About you:

You will be responsible for delivery of Access Creative College and dBs Institute services through:-

The effective management of the facilities and resources on the college campus to provide a high quality, safe, healthy and secure site for staff, students and visitors with focus on providing an exceptional student experience

The effective and efficient management and allocation of college resources and facilities to meet the needs of the students and delivery team

The effective implementation and management of the Facilities Service Level Agreement

The successful delivery of the Facilities Service in accordance with the Facilities Service Level Agreement.

A recognised qualification in Facilities Management (Essential)

IOSH Certification (Essential)

Level 2 Literacy & Numeracy (Essential)

Educated to degree level or relevant professional qualification (Desirable)

NEBOSH Certification (Desirable)

Experience/Knowledge:

Demonstrable experience of Facilities Management for a similar organisation in a senior / managerial capacity

Experience of managing a team.

Experience of successfully working as part of multi-disciplinary teams

Experience of effectively monitoring budgets and effective cost control

Knowledge of building services and systems

Knowledge of relevant legislation and FM related statutory requirements (Health and Safety, building, DDA, Asbestos, Fire Safety, Gas Safety and Electrical Safety)

Experience of Project Management of small - mid sized projects

Salary: £35,000 - £39,000
