Full Job Description

We are currently expanding our Bristol office and are seeking two talented Architectural Technologists that are eager to progress with their MCIAT membership and develop their experience to join our passionate team. Team role

  • Work closely with Project Architects and Design Teams to develop detailed technical drawings, specifications and construction documents.


  • Collaborate in the preparation of planning applications, building regulation submissions, and other project documentation.


  • Conduct site visits and liaise with Contracts, Consultants and Clients to ensure the smooth progression of projects.


  • Utilise your technical knowledge to contribute to the development of innovative and sustainable design solutions.


  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations and emerging technologies to enhance project outcomes.


  • Individual duties
  • Develop and produce accurate and detailed technical drawings.


  • Collaborate with Architects to translate design concepts into construction documents using Vectorworks.


  • Assist in coordinating project activities, liaising with stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.


  • Regular site visits to monitor construction progress and address any technical issues that may arise.


  • Stay current with Building Regulations and codes while applying this knowledge to the development of designs and documentation.


  • Prepare and submit Building Regulation applications.


  • Effectively communicate technical information to nontechnical stakeholders.


  • Foster a multidisciplinary approach to project development.

    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architectural Technology.


  • Eager to progress with MCIAT.


  • Vectorworks is highly beneficial but this can be taught if required.


  • Knowledge of AutoCAD would be advantageous to the use of Vectorworks.


  • Strong understanding of Building Regulations, construction methods, and detailing.


  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.


  • Aspiration and drive to work towards member of professional body (CIAT).


  • Valid UK driving licence.


  • Ability to work under own initiative and within a team setting.


  • Knowledge of
  • MS 365 and Teams.


  • CAD knowledge (full training can be given in Vectorworks).


  • Excellent IT literacy.
