Full Job Description

This role is for our Power & Cooling Engineers who are at the heart of keeping BT's networks operating 24/7 365 days a year. Utilising their expertise and knowledge in both Low and High Voltage systems, alarms, emergency lighting, cooling and UPS they ensure that the BT estate continues to work no matter the circumstances.

Working with their experienced teams within our exchange buildings as well as other environments, including radio sites, rooftops and outdoors, they are required to support the variety of power systems and cooling equipment that ensures our network keeps the UK's internet working.

Our Engineering Maintenance apprentices play a key part in making sure that continues. Your role in our team will be to ensure our Power infrastructure networks are regularly maintained and tested to satisfy both regulatory compliance and environmental standards. You'll be working on an array of different hardware installed in our exchanges across the UK, ensuring that our customers have the very best experience., As a Lead Engineering Maintenance Technician, you'll study for a Level 4 apprenticeship with Stoke College. You will be required to attend the College on a block release, Monday Lunchtime to Friday lunchtime. There will be approximately 10 blocks per year and the programme is 3 years in duration. Covered by BT.

Entry Requirements - 5 GCSEs at grades 4 - 9 (GCSE C or above) including English Language. We require candidates to have at least a grade B or equivalent in maths GCSE. Equivalent qualifications are accepted and 2 A levels at C grade or above, one in a STEM or equivalent., Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Problem solving skills, Initiative, GCSE or equivalent Any (Grade 4) Essential
