Full Job Description

Focusing mainly on reception duties you will also get the opportunity to work with our dispensary team (unpacking stock and handing out medication to patients) and our admin team (performing basic administration duties).

Within our reception team you will learn how to deal with patient enquiries and requests for appointments on the telephone, via digital solutions and face to face at the reception desk.
There maybe an opportunity to undertake some basic clinic duties such as testing urine samples and acting as a chaperone.

  • GCSE or equivalent Math's (Grade 4) Essential, You must want to help patients and be prepared to work as part of a team. For a large part of the role you will be using IT systems and contacting patients by telephone. Confidentiality is very important and you must not share information outside of the practice. You must be prepared for patients to tell you very personal details.

    We are a small GP Practice with around 45 staff and 6000 patients many of which are older. During you lunch break you can take a 5 minute walk to the beach.

    You could reduce your training time, or finish your apprenticeship faster, if you have relevant prior learning or experience. This could be relevant:

  • qualifications, like an NVQ in a relevant field
