- A practical understanding of the use of a wide variety of engineering tools and machines (CNC, Lathes, Mills etc ).
- How to read and correctly interpret engineering drawings
- Writing of procedures and work instructions.
- Working to specifications and prescribed systems.
- Hobbies that extend personal knowledge of some aspect(s) of engineering / manufacture.
