Full Job Description

Join our new and exciting Dual Fuel Engineer Apprenticeship Programme, where in six months you could be out supporting our customers, fitting and resolving technical faults on Smart Gas & Electric meters.

By the end of your Apprenticeship, you will be Gas Safe registered and receive EUSR accreditation, along with having a Level 2 qualification in Dual Fuel Smart Metering Installation and a Smart Metering Diploma in power.

  • On-site parking, You will join on a starting salary of £24,960, which will increase to £31,194 once you qualify from the academy, which on average takes 12 to 14 weeks.


  • Next you will be assigned a mentor who you will shadow and support in the field, you will get hands on experience and start to put your new skills and qualifications to work.

    Once you have spent time in the field, from weeks 23-27 you will have your own van and tools as you start being scheduled for jobs with a salary of £35,094.

    Your scheduled jobs will form part of your portfolio to complete your apprenticeship, which will take on average 52 weeks where you can expect a salary of £38,993.

    What do I need?

    You'll have a keen eye for detail, as safety is our priority, have a warm and friendly character, to help guide and support customers with our award-winning app, and be comfortable completing jobs on your own and have an in-date UK Driving license.

    What happens next?

    Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an on-site assessment day at Cheshire College in Ellesmere Port.

    The assessment day will involve a functional Maths and English assessment, a Cognitive skills test, colour blindness assessment, group activity and an Interview.
