Full Job Description

Within this role you will be trained to do the following duties:

  • Maintian Food Hygiene at all times

  • Adhere to Kitchen Operating Standards

  • Follow Menu specification, Portion Control & General Kitchen practice

  • Pay attention to Allergen requirements and legislation

  • Learning to prep and cook a variety of menus

    This apprenticeship will be completed by working 4 days per week onsite with the employer, learning the job role and gaining valuable work experience, and then 1 day per week attending Derby College to complete coursework and assessments.


  • English and Maths Functional Skills may be completed alongside the apprenticeship if necessary, however, passing this will be mandatory to receive the apprenticeship qualification., Organisation skills, Customer care skills, Team working, Confidence, Industry experience preferable, GCSE or equivalent English (Grade C/4 or above) Essential
    GCSE or equivalent Mathematics (Grade C/4 or above) Essential
