Full Job Description

As an Apprentice Centre Co-ordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the Centre Manager, and the team and ensuring the smooth operation of our training centres whilst completing your apprenticeship studies. This would be an ideal role for a person wanting to begin their administration journey in a small and supportive team, or someone looking for a career change. The successful candidate will be supported by the Centre Manager in developing skills required in the centre and throughout the apprenticeship requirements.,

  • To undertake a Business Administration apprenticeship

  • To support all learner enrolments throughout the academic year

  • To assist in administrative tasks such as data entry, filing and document preparation

  • Coordinate appointments, meetings and events, including room bookings, equipment setup and communication with participants

  • Support with maintaining records and databases, updating information and generating reports as needed

  • Monitor and maintain all centre/learner records

  • To meet and greet visitors and learners (customer service), addressing enquiries promptly

  • To support colleagues and learners to ensure the smooth running of the education and training centre, maintaining high standards of communication, administration, safeguarding and equality and diversity

  • Participate in training sessions and complete CPD to enhance skills and knowledge about the sector


  • Reception and Customer Service

  • Be the first point of contact for all visitors and maintain a professional and welcoming reception area.

  • Answer the centre phone professionally handle queries and deliver messages promptly

  • Assist with maintaining noticeboards with accurate and up-to-date information and guidance

  • Build strong relationships with learners and their families, reporting any issues which may impact learning progress to the correct colleague


  • Administration

  • Maintaining on-site learner records including learner/parent letters, registers and bursary applications

  • Assist in ensuring learner enrolments and ILRs are accurately complete

  • Undertake general administrative duties.

  • Manage all ordering of stationery and other resources required to ensure the smooth operation of the centre.

  • Maintain effective communication with colleagues via email, telephone, and face to face meetings, communicating issues promptly.

  • Follow TCHC general housekeeping procedures

  • Maintain centre calendar and notify colleagues of important events

  • Undertake any ad hoc tasks as required and be flexible in covering work of team members as and when necessary.
