Reporting to the Head of Application and Development, the focus of this global Applications opportunity, will be to drive business opportunities and deliver business strategy as Technical Expert for our Industrial Process and Emissions (IP&E) products, applications, and technologies. About the Opportunity: Focus on the success of the Industrial, Process and Emissions (IP&E) Business Unit (BU). Act as the Technical Expert for IP&E products, applications, and technologies. Mentors others in best practice related to experimentation and data analysis. Specialist and focused understanding of processes, products, and technologies, including
measurement principles. Responsible for developing new applications and measurements for existing products (applications development). Acts as an integral part of New Product Introduction (NPI) process (planning and testing, knowledge capturing, 'fit for purpose' sign off, developing of tuning and testing procedures, etc.). Participates in the development of products as part of multi-disciplinary project teams including engineering and operations teams during the integration into manufacture. Works within project timescales, providing progress indication and task estimates as necessary. Investigates technical solutions for development and communicates to the Business Unit, acting as voice of the customer. Technical review of applications and solutions for novel Special Instrument Process (SIPS) opportunities. Responsible for final approval and sign off for production planning of specialist products. Provides expert support to Inside Sales and local sales teams to offer the best total

solution to customers. Participates actively in commercial visits as technical expert and in significant project pursuit activities and order reviews. Ensures development knowledge is captured and shared through a variety of media. Provides internal and external training/knowledge transfer (expert knowledge). Creates applications-specific literature for the business unit (white papers, applications notes, technical notes, best practice guides). Supports and facilitates FATs and field trials. Full job description will be made available during the selection process About your Talent: Essential Experience and Skills: Demonstrable experience in Application and Development within the Gas Analysis/ Process Instrumentation industry. Proven experience working with process / gas analysers including Infrared (IR) and Tunable Diode Laser (TDL) spectroscopy techniques and their applications. Analysing test data and writing corresponding technical reports. Competence in IT skills with Microsoft
Office. Strong analytical and computational skills. Strong communication skills, combined with experience of liaising with customers. Significant experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team. Desirable Experience and Skills: Experience and knowledge of Lean techniques. Capable of installing equipment, analysers and providing direct support for live customer site demonstrations. Knowledge of MATLAB and Python and writing script in these languages. Proven experience working with Fourier-Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy instrument. Experience in configuring gas analysers (e.g., infrared). Testing skills; designing, implementing, and reporting on verification/validation testing. Lean Six Sigma Green / Black Belt qualification / Practitioner. Essential Qualifications and Education: Technical degree (or equivalent or higher) and proven experience in physics, chemistry, physical chemistry, or chemical engineering Benefits: Servomex offers a comprehensive salary
