Anti-Financial Crime Manager and DMLRO

Reporting directly to the Head of Operational Compliance and MLRO, you will sit right at the heart of our operational compliance team, where you'll lead the charge in safeguarding against financial crime.

You will be at the forefront and responsible for overseeing all AFC operations, including the critical anti-money laundering (AML) and fraud prevention areas. Your mission? To ensure that Midnite operates with integrity and adherence to all AML regulations set forth by the Gambling Commission and relevant legislation.

Your aim will be to actively monitor and fine-tune our procedures, giving our management and Board of Directors the confidence that we're staying ahead of the game. We're seeking someone with a background in AML, impeccable communication skills, and a knack for managing teams to join us in this exciting journey.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a dynamic team of AFC Analysts, driving excellence through quality assurance and fostering a supportive environment where constructive feedback thrives.


• Act as the escalation point for AFC Analysts for customers hitting AML threshold triggers.


• Oversee existing business relationships (CDD and EDD) and manage the customer Source of Funds (SOF) process, stepping in where required.


• Ensuring ongoing customer monitoring is being conducted in line with the process.


• Monitoring the development of relevant applicable AML/CTF legal frameworks and helping update internal policies and procedures where appropriate, as well as keeping AFC process guides up to date.



• Act as the DMLRO, draft iSARs, keep records and report potentially suspicious activity to the MLRO / Head of Operational Compliance.


• Manage the relationships with external providers for tasks relating to AFC.


• Uphold and enhance internal AML/CTF policies and procedures.


• Guarantee comprehensive AML/CTF training is delivered company-wide.


• Maintain transparent audit trails and meticulous record-keeping.


• Create and conduct internal training materials on AFC, including any new starters within the Operational Compliance team.
  
  Travel to the Leeds office once a week.


• Demonstrate strong analytical skills and unwavering attention to detail, capable of delivering succinct written reports.


• Possess AML qualifications, such as an ICA accreditation.


• Showcase experience in effectively leading and managing teams.


• Exhibit exceptional attention to detail in all tasks and responsibilities.


• Bring a proven track record of at least four years in similar roles.


• Thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced environments, adept at working under demanding conditions.
