Full Job Description

Responsible for the management and production of maintenance programmes. Review of airworthiness documentation and provide support during airworthiness reviews and aircraft transfers., The main responsibilities for the Airworthiness Engineer are,

  • Periodical review, development and implementation of Aircraft Maintenance Programmes and associated aircraft configuration.

  • Update of the maintenance tasks cards derived from Maintenance programmes updates.

  • Monitor the changes in the Maintenance Manuals and update the affected complex maintenance tasks cards accordingly..

  • Support with the introduction and development of new continuing airworthiness software applications.

  • Provide support on Airworthiness Reviews, Certificate of Airworthiness and Export Certificate of Airworthiness applications/recommendations.

  • Undertake reviews of incoming aircraft onto AHUK Maintenance programmes or operator derived programmes and define bridging requirements to ensure compliance.

  • Complete repetitive defect and reliability analysis.

  • Support with the analysis of the maintenance programmes effectiveness reviews.

  • Review and update aircraft flight manuals.

  • Generate compliance reports as required to support aircraft audits or airworthiness reviews.

  • Provide cross functional support across the CAMO team.

  • Continually improve airworthiness process & procedures to enhance overall efficiency of the Airworthiness department.

  • Perform other duties as required by the Airworthiness Supervisor, Continuing Airworthiness Manager or designated deputy.



  • Good understanding of aircraft continuing airworthiness requirements as related to Part CAMO / A8-25 & Part 145 / A8-23.

  • Methodical with acute attention to detail.

  • Self-motivated and able to work without supervision or as part of a team.

  • Flexible work ethic focused on delivering against agreed timelines.

  • Strong team leadership.

  • Proactive - ability to recognise potential issues and apply remedial action before they raise concern or affect operations.

  • Must have high computer literacy skills and be competent with Google Docs.

  • Ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.


  • Desirable

  • Knowledge of continuing airworthiness management software for the use of maintenance and materials planning.
