Through Business Banking our global network offers comprehensive support and services to businesses in the SME market. From expanding overseas to managing the cash and trade flows of an established enterprise, the Business Banking team of Relationship Managers and Product Specialists provides a range of end-to- end solutions designed to help small businesses reach their potential.

We are seeking a proactive and customer focused person to join this team in the role of Agriculture Relationship Manager.

The Agriculture Relationship Manager will provide dedicated customer service to a portfolio of Agriculture clients with accountability for sales, service, risk and operational delivery. This role will have both external and internal stakeholders, Internal stakeholders may include Sales, Product Development, Risk & Compliance teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Face to face meetings with Agriculture customers, with up to 80 clients in portfolio

  • Providing outstanding customer service to agricultural clients with family owned businesses

  • Driving revenue growth through understanding customer needs and by adopting a needs-based approach which engages clients and increases new business

  • Growing the business sustainably, by identifying opportunities to expand the portfolio and broadening client relationships by leveraging HSBC's extensive network

  • Learning about the customer's business and industry to promote insights, enrich client conversations and deliver fair outcomes

  • Pro-active credit risk assessments and customer due diligence reviews

  • Managing financial crime risk by identifying, assessing, accepting, monitoring and mitigating risk while adhering to HSBC's operational risk standards and policies

    Experience of working in Commercial Banking, financial services or a similar entity

  • Experience of working in an Agricultural or customer service environment would be advantageous

  • Commercial credit and lending experience with a willingness to learn HSBC's systems and processes

  • A passion for delivering excellent customer service with a desire to make a difference

  • Experience of building effective networks and developing trusted relationships

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • An understanding of risk management and a willingness to learn and comply with HSBC's policies and the relevant regulatory processes


  • This is a hybrid role based in Castle Donington covering the Lincolnshire area. The successful applicant will be required to undertake frequent travel across Lincolnshire for face to face meetings with clients.
